Urban Tadka Restaurant, Terry Hills, NSW provided the perfect setting for the 28th GOA NSW Annual Golf Awards Luncheon held on Sunday February 2, 2014. The event was well attended by all the GOA Golfers, GOA members and their wives and families.

Roy Do Rosario, Sports Director G.O.A.-NSW in his welcome address said that the Golf wing had consistently maintained the tradition and organized the Golf league for the past 28 years.

Alwyn Henriques, Caption of the ‘GOA NSW Golf Club’ conducted the award presentation.

In his address, Alwyn mentioned that the GOA Golf Club is the perfect platform which bonds the GOA golfers together.  He said that GOA NSW is the only Goan association in the world to run a structured annual Golf League for its members.

“The Annual Golf League is played throughout the year at various golf courses all over Sydney and the annual season culminates with an annual Golf Luncheon to reward the top performers for the year. It is also an occasion when the club comes together to celebrate yet another successful year of GOA Golf”, said Alwyn.

Alwyn thanked Complete Lending Company (CLC) for its support and said, “For the first time in 28 years GOA Golf Club secured a sponsor partnership with ‘Complete Lending Company’, a mortgage brokerage business for the annual prizes. GOA NSW is grateful to the Managing Director of CLC, Alan Ferris for supporting the association in promoting its golf activities”.

He also thanked Roy Rosario, the GOA NSW Sports Director and Managing Director of Dynaflow for sponsoring the prizes for the Dynaflow Pairs Stableford competition.

The GOA NSW Golf Club continues to grow in popularity with new Golfers joining the League every year. In last couple of seasons the Club had a total of 9 new golfers who joined the Golf Wing including young ‘Rushil Dulabh’ who at the age of 10 years becomes the youngest golf player to have ever played in the GOA Golf League.

Alwyn welcomed all the new Golfers and wished them many more enjoyable golfing seasons with the GOA Golf wing.

The 2013 Golf season was a fiercely competitive season with a total of 27 Golfers who participated in the Golf League vying for the monthly round prizes and the seven annual prizes. GOA NSW Sports Director Roy Rosario, President Tony Colaco and Mal Ferris representing the Sponsor ‘Complete Lending Company’ gave away the prizes.
