Sunidhi Chauhan is amongst the most successful playback singers of Hindi film industry and has given many hit numbers with her magical voice. She has been belting out songs for Bollywood box-office hits for nearly two decades, lending her voice for most of the leading actresses in Bollywood.
A bit of Shakira and flavour it with adorable quirks of Lady Gaga and what you get is Sunidhi Chauhan’s performance.
On the eve of Women’s Day, there was a musical treat for the Indians living in Sydney with Sunidhi Chauhan’s live performance at Whitlam Centre Liverpool , Sydney.
The show organised by Nillo Duggal and Jatinder Vicki of SEEG Entertainment began with three giant screens portraying the singer and as the screen slid, the audience expected Sunidhi to enter but Rakesh Maini (Indian Idol 5 contestant ) walked in and entertained the audience with songs from various new movies.
After that there was a dance performance by an Indian Australian dance group on the songs of Neeraj Shridhar (Bombay Vikings), who is touring Australia in May.
After these performances, Sunidhi took to the stage and started off with her best numbers.
Ample proof was provided by the thousands who gathered to watch Indipop and playback sensation Sunidhi Chauhan. The singer regaled crowd with foot-tapping numbers and left them crying for more.
What’s amazing though is the kind of powerful voice and energy she abounds with. Wondering if that voice actually required a mic at all!!. Her performance was full of power and her fantastic dance moves further added to the grace of her songs.
She aptly began her show with her super hit dance numbers and the audience went wild dancing and singing along.
Sunidhi Chauhan is a full entertainer. She sang her most famous songs including the Beedi Jailaile (Omkara), Desi Girl (Dostana) and Dance Pe Chance (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) , Halkat Jawani and right from the beginning she accompanied every song with vigorous dancing, including the trademark steps from the number.
She also sang Ishq Sufiana , driving audience a demo of the soulful husky texture of her voice, that’s most often masked by loud, foot tapping music.
She also sang her enthralling song from Dhoom -3 , Kamli which won many accolades .
The youngsters of course knew all the songs and sang verbatim, some of the older audience clapped along.
Requests for ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ kept coming and as the show neared its end, voices around began speculating if she would sing the songs on their wish list.
When she started“ ‘Ain’t nobody got body like Sheila, Everybody want body like Sheila…’ the crowd went into raptures and a number of enthusiastic listeners ran towards the stage and started dancing . They sang and danced as Sunidhi gave the song a makeover varying its rhythm.
The show was a big hit and added to another successful event organised by the SEEG entertainment . SEEG Entertainment (Nillo Duggal and Jatinder Vicki ) have organised many successful shows since their start in 2009 .
