ATF celebrated 2nd edition of ‘Australian Telangana Premiere Leage’-2014

ATF celebrated Cricket Tournament 2nd Edition of “Australian Telangana Premier League 2014” with great success. Telugu communities originated in and around from Hyderabad participated in this event and the organisation was also successful in involving youth in large numbers in this outstanding event.


Last year, ATF created “M L Jayasimha Australian Telananga Premier League cup” in the name of Hyderabad cricket legend late M L Jayasimha.

Western Chargers captained by Sanjay defeated Wenty Wanderers captained by Sagar and won ‘M L Jayasimha Australian Telananga Premier League cup’ for the year 2014-15. Man of the match was given to ‘Pradeep’ from Western Chargers for overall performance in batting and bowling. A memento was presented to runner-up team.

Every year the name of the winner team will be engraved on the brass plates on the memento to make it memorable forever. Every one appreciated Naveen Jayavarapu for two great catches which turned match to Western Chargers.

All players and umpire Jaipal Kadire worked hard for the tournament. Overall event was organised and properly executed by Madhav Katikaneni and team rules and regulations drafted by Vamshi Gone. Every one pledged to take TPL to next level by encouraging and involving many more teams in Australia.

Cricket is a main medium to connect India and Australia and this tournament is a step further to boost the ties between India and Australia. ATF promised to deliver further many events with multi-cultural Australia.
