Russian football fans clash during the Russia’s premier league football match Shinnik Yroslavl vs Spartak Moscow in Yaroslavl on October 30, 2013. Russia’s football authorities were investigating on October 31 the latest shocking incident of crowd violence in the domestic game of the 2018 World Cup hosts which saw a cup match suspended when Spartak Moscow fans let off flares, clashed with police and hurled seats onto the pitch. The disgrace at Spartak’s away Russian Cup match at second tier outfit Shinnik Yaroslavl on October 30 came almost at the same moment as UEFA punished its Moscow rivals CSKA for the racist abuse by fans of Manchester City star Yaya Toure.
